As I think about the women and the men who died for me
That I might live in freedom, in a land of liberty
For the sacrifice they freely gave for a country that they love
For their willingness to bare the fight and never give up

I’m amazed at it all, that there would be those willing to answer freedom’s call
I’m amazed at it all, and now I understand and truly see
That the cost for my freedom isn’t free

The flag that stands for freedom now covers flesh and bone
To honor this brave soldier who’s now going home
